GRATITUDE TO TURKISH AIRLINES FOR THEIR GENEROUS MATERIALS SUPPORT IN THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMDHAN FOR ROHINYA COMMUNITY On behalf of Rohingya Community in India, Rohingya Human Rights Initiative (R4R) would like to express our deepest gratitude to TURKISH AIRLINES for their generous materials support in the Holy month of recent Ramadan. With your efficient and effective distribution to the most vulnerable rohingya families from Delhi and Haryana, Rohingya refugees could enjoy with Sehri food and Iftar( breaking their fasting) during the month of Ramadan. Insha Allah, you will be fully compensated and rewarded for your kind support to helpless Rohingya people in India. There are around twenty Thousand Rohingya people are living across India. They had to leave their home just to escape from life threatening communal violence and to save their lives. Many of Rohingya refugee in India got registered with UNHCR as well as Foreign Registering Office (FRO) for their legal protection in India. As you aware, Rohingya situation in Myanmar gets worse day by day, and our Myanmar government continuously failing to protect her people, particularly Rohingya people in Rakhine State. Novel Laureate Aung San Su Kyi led government recently rejected UN Fact Finding Mission to investigate “Crimes against Humanity” in Arakan, Myanmar. TURKISH AIR LINES is only team who didn’t turn eyes from vulnerable Rohingya community in India. Most of Rohingya refugees in India live on their daily life by collecting rags from the streets, daily labors, many remain without finding any jobs, aged people, orphan and single mothers are unbearable situation to pass their lives facing with hungers. It is so disappointment that UNHCR India pay little attention to Rohingya people unlike other refugees in India. No single Rohingya has not been resettled yet where as many other ethnics of Myanmar resettled to third country to build their future. Rohingya in India finds no window to forget their horrible past and the suffering is being continued helplessly in India. The flow of displaced families from Jammu to other part of India is growing every day without any significant support to ensure their further protection and hope for any future. We therefore encourage any charity organizations to attend the actual needy community of Rohingya for their further services to ensure the fundamental human rights of Rohingya community in India. It will be very much grateful. We need more positive attention from UNHCR and government of India to ensure Rohingya settlement in India.
