WRITTEN BY- ROHINGYA HUMAN RIGHTS INITIATIVE

Dated- 03.07.19

In the aftermath of one of the worst genocides in recent history as termed by the UN, the Rohingyas have been suffering for a very long time. Stripped off their basic human rights and freedom, they hav fled from their own country to save their lives.

The Rohingya Human Rights Initiative (ROHRingya) and The Peacebuilding Project's initiative in India is providing education to Rohingya children which is helping them build a foundation for a better future.

The Education program of Rohingya Human Rights Initiative aims at education of children and youth, computer literacy for refugee children, strengthening opportunities for the vulnerable communities, equal opportunities of the unprivileged and gender equality.

With the assistance and support of various donors like Salamah Health, Education and Welfare Trust; UNHCR etc., this education program is flourishing. Dancing, singing and cheerful children voices filled classroom in Khajoori Khas this Sunday, 30th June 2019. A graduation ceremony and celebration were held for 20 Rohingya and 9 Indian children and their families. During the last 4 months children have gained valuable knowledge in English and Computer skills throughout the Education Project run by Rohingya Human Rights Initiative (ROHRIngya) and The Peacebuilding Project. By giving hope and better opportunities for underprivileged Rohingya and Indian children, we aim for a world with equal chances for everyone. An enormous thanks goes to our donors, volunteers and supporters. We resume our activities on the 5th July, by opening English, Burmese and Computer Classes.

We would also like to offer our gratitude who have been a part of it in any way and we hope to continue with the program with your help and support.
