Rohingya refugees in India are going through a very hard time in this global emergency as the livelihoods of our people have been affected by both sides. The majority of people in the community are dependent on daily earnings to feed their families and the countrywide lockdown has stopped their income source. There are widows, physically challenged persons, unaccompanied children, and persons having medical problems that were totally dependent on charity. Families who work as rag-pickers, a rickshaw puller, and daily laborer are the most vulnerable.
There are approximately 18,000 Rohingya across India. We Rohingya Human Rights Initiative target to reach out to all the Rohingya refugees and local families staying with the refugees across India with ration/food items and sanitation kits to make sure no one left to die of hunger in this situation and everyone has access to minimum facilities to stay safe.
Our relief package supported by Biostandt India Ltd includes Rice, Aata, Dal, Oil, Salt, Spices, Soap, Biscuits, and other basic Necessities for 10 days or more for each family we have supported with, reached out to the flowing families of concern.
